Am I the only one who puts a song on repeat once I fall in love with it? I listen to it over and over and over again. This happens often with me especially if I'm cleaning my room or having a dance party with Jenae! :) I wasn't a huge fan of Spanish music before we roomed together, but recently some of the songs she's showed me, I'm hooked. Hello Pitbull ;) PS: i can't believe it's been almost a year since we met each other. and I can't believe that I'm halfway done with this semester.
Summer '12
Today, it's this song by Tacabro called Tacata.
It's so catchy and upbeat and it makes me wanna go HAM and dance all afternoon. Dance parties are perfect for midterm destressing right? Of course. On that note, we're off to go tanning and eat ice cream. Er, and maybe study too.
This week is slow compared to last week. You see I'm only working 55 hours instead of 70. I feel like I'm working part time. Naturally this means 1 more hour of sleep a night and a little more time to blog.
~Sunday Funday Lakeday: see also: i promise i have on a swim suit. you just can't see it.
~Last night, Hannah, my little sister, colored my hair. My hurrs are all black again. She did such a good job. I love them. My roots were my natural color (light brown), my sides/top were auburn from girls' night in May, and my ends were darkish brown. Hot mess right here.
~My mom made Peach It was also the first time in almost a month that my entire fam was together. Mission trips, camp, vacations, and work. It was so good.

~I got my unibrow eyebrows waxed yesterday. It's the little things I'm telling you. Funny thing? My little lady that does them, Yen, said *gasp* "oh my. You must be working alot. You haven't been here in a while". Yes I work alot. Wax the unibrow.
~This song. Don't hate on Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen. I know I'm not in Jr. High anymore, don't judge.
~I'm headed off to work. My big brother is my MOD tonight and I love this. Most people have asked me if I hate having him be my boss, but I honestly love it. We have so much fun doing work together. And yes that is possible.
Right now, Karmin: Broken Hearted. It's perfect running music too!
What is your favorite singer/band?
This one is really hard for me. I love so many but it is probably Mumford and Sons. Their lyrics are so fulfilling and the musical quality, especially their voices are beautiful. I also really love Train!
What is your theme song/song that best describes your life?
Right now, it would be Breakaway: Kelly Clarkson. I used it for my graduation slideshow and fell in love with it!
What songs put you in a good mood?
Any kind of upbeat dance music; something that makes me break out in random dancing (Katy Perry, Taio Cruz, Gaga)
What is your favorite road-trip music?
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes or Regina Spektor. I'm obsessed with both of their new albums. So good.
What song are you embarrassed to admit you love?
Baby: J Biebs. Or any song by him for that matter.
oxox,
Emily
PS: I leave for my mission trip today! Blogging will be very spacey!

Man, Good Friday brings on a totally new meaning this year. After just getting back from Israel less than 3 weeks ago, I have a newer, much deeper appreciation, for this holiday we call Easter. I was listening to this song this morning and it was absolutely perfect. I'd encourage you if you have a chance to listen to this song by Leeland: Via Dolorosa. It's one of my very favorites!

Friday morning, 37 of us headed to St. Louis for Believe12. I mentioned it in this post. I had an amazing time. This was my first time "chaperoning" an event and I LOVED it! I learned so much by just spending time with everyone. They were so fun! Here are so pictures from our car ride up. We took 2 busses and 1 SUV! Dance parties and singing loud happened almost the entire time!
This is Julie. She is awesome. She cooks all of our food for us for every single youth event I can remember! Mission trips, fall retreats, you name it. She cooks for it. Friday night, both of us went shopping at SAMS, Wal-mart, and some local grocery stores. After quite the detour, we finally found the shopping center! It was dark, and the GPS decided to go stupid on us. We rolled our eyes and did a fair amount of laughing at ourselves that night haha! We were making memories for sure!
This is a SMALL fraction
of the food. very small.
Worshipping with 4000 teens was
incredible. High energy for sure!!

He is fine now. Thankful for quick EMT's and wise doctors!
