Top 10 Tuesday: Bucket List

Here we go for week 3 of Top 10 Tuesday! Show me the Top 10 things on your bucket list! Note: this is not an impossible bucket list ie: climb Mt. Kilimanjaro    or win the Nobel Peace Prize. I want goals that I know I can probably reach. Luckily for me, I found most of mine in picture form via Pinterest! I can't wait to see what is on y'all bucket lists!

1-

2-
The way that I'm in a starbucks rut,
it could take quite a while!

3-

4-
I've never done this before.
Summer 2012?

5-
I live no where NEAR a beach,
therefore it goes on the bucket list.

6-
ahhh Paris and London.
someday

7-
I've been to about half of them
and driven through about 35.

8-
I'm always changing my mind about what
I want to do when I "grow-up" ha!
remember this post
Hopefully, I'll have a job that travels!

9-
Yes I know! This is simple.
It seems easily reachable.
But, I don't see it happening for at least 10 years
therefore it goes on the bucket list.

10-
This seems like something that shouldn't
be on a bucket list, because it should come
so naturally. Something that isn't a life goal.
not for me my friends!

Happy Valentine's Day too! :)

5 Question Friday

I first heard about 5 question Friday from Emily! I love her blog. She has the sweetest family of 3 plus one on the way! :)

1-What is the last thing you bought yourself?
I bought a Cranberry Vanilla Slush from Sonic during happy hour today! The best $1.12 ever spent! :)

2-What is your favorite meal on a cold winter day?
I love potato soup especially in a bread bowl! In fact, I was in charge of dinner last night and I made this yummy Crockpot soup w/ homemade bread! so good!

3-Have you started looking for swim suits this year and do you buy a new one every year?
I have NOT started looking yet. It's January and Target already has suits out but I haven't looked yet! I usually do, just depends on where we go on vaca, summer plans etc.

4-If you could buy any candy what would it be and why?
Starbursts. Addicted. Favorite Fruity Candy. Handsdown.

5-What are you most passionate about?
I shared a little bit of my heart here. Feel free to go re-read that post. I'm passionate about helping girls and encouraging them not to settle for less that God has. I'm currently leading a Bible Study with my friend Emily. We lead it with about 10-15 girls on Friday mornings. It's on the book Lies Young Women Believe by Nancy Lee DeMoss.

I'm SO excited for the weekend! This week has been long and full! Happy Friday my friends!

Dare to Dream

Melissa, over at The View from Five Two , is talking about Voicing your Dreams today! This post was really perfect timing for me. I'm at some major crossroads in my life right now. I'm a senior in highschool, i'm applying for colleges etc etc etc In fact, this afternoon I had my big admissions interview at College of the Ozarks, CofO. Michael, my interviewer, asked alot about me, my character, values, family, and my dreams! I love when I have the opportunity to share my dreams with people. It's not something that I'm open about because I'm scared. I'm scared of the unknown, of failing, of people thinking less of me, and of it not happening. This part in Melissa's post really hit home.

However, sometimes I'm not completely honest with myself. I don't voice my goals and dreams. I tend to bury big dreams way down deep, so that if I never attain them, then it's no big deal. No one will ever know that I never reached my dreams, because they never knew what those dreams were. Often, I tell myself I'm not good enough for those dreams, I'm not good enough to ever reach them. I tell myself that my dreams are for people who are better, smarter, more creative, etc. etc. etc. than me.

This post literally could not have come at more perfect timing. I'm scared about voicing my dreams. I really have been. But today, I was challenged to share some of my dreams with you. I'm being very bold here :) I have two big dreams in life. They are vastly different. I'm really not sure where they came from, but just pieced together over time I guess. Here we go....

My first dream is:
I've been applying for International Business to some different colleges. I'd love to live in a big city, and work for a big business corporation. Cute clothes, car, phone, a little penthouse overlooking the city. I would love to travel the world and visit some beautiful places in Europe, while being a successful business lady! This sounds crazy but business is what I love. It's what I'm good at and what I enjoy doing!

Dream Two:
My other options I've thrown around, using a business degree would be working with a ministry, such as Convoy of Hope, YWAM, etc and do the business work. I've always wanted to go to Thailand and work with a human trafficking ministry. In fact, there is a really cool program through YWAM Thai, called Business as a Mission (BAM). It allows you to take classes in business, marketing, planning, accounting etc all with a missions focus.
I know that these two dreams are vastly different but they are two things that I've thought about. In fact, my Thailand dream will be one that I will be blogging about in the near future, a 2012 resolution :)
Thank-you for allowing me to share tonight!

Tonight, this is what
I'm going leaving you with!

Another fav :)

Happy Friday Everybody!

Love,
