A Dr. Seuss party for two big kids (turning) 22 year olds. Because who doesn't love dressing up and celebrating with college kids all night.
Last Friday night, we had 54 college kids filling the house to celebrate my big brother Aaron and his girlfriend Celia. It was a blast!
I mean 54 rowdies, a photobooth, FOOD, laughing, and a dance party at midnight. Heck it was SO fun! THe party started about 6ish and went till about 1am. Prepping me for college life I suppose :)
We played a bunch of games. See below....
I loved having everyone here! There were so many different groups ranging from freshies all the way to the seniors. I picked Michael's brain (green shorts, yellow shirt and 'spenders) about accounting and I'll be sitting in on some upper level accounting classes later this month with him. I'm pretty excited!
Photobooth: Holy cow. SO fun!
Isn't that attractive?
I love Celia!
And a little dance party action
That's a wrap! I could post entirely more pictures, but I think I'll stop there.
Even after a long week, I'm happy about so much today!

I felt so uhh famous. random and weird i know. whatere

*Tonight, there will be at LEAST 50 college kids at my house. We are having a Two for 22 birthday party for my brother and his girlfriend, who have birthdays 4 days apart. The theme is Dr. Seuss. The decor/ideas are coming along and I think it will be SO fun! pictures/blog post to follow!

*My new CHI came in the mail yesterday and I used it this morning!!! My first one melted in Israel because of a problem with the converter :(. I'll be blogging about it in my recap posts.
*I'm happy when I can defend myself, especially because I HATE being wrong. Blog story coming soon!
*I'm happy because I'm getting back into the swing of running. I took a break because I was sick. I'm excited to be training again!

This recap post is a little bit overdue. I apologize. These past couple weeks have been crazy! anybody else?? Now onto the post...
I LOVE Thanksgiving! Every year our family hosts Thanksgiving at our house. We have been hosting it since we moved to Missouri in 2003. We have at least 20 people, if not more. This usually includes college students, cousins, extended family, and friends. It is definitely a highlight of my year. Our celebration begins Wednesday night and lasts till Saturday afternoon. Everybody begins to roll into town on Wednesday. Wednesday is our baking/prep day for things like pies, and casseroles etc. Thursday morning we cook everything including the Turkey. We t-r-y- to eat by 2pm. Thanksgiving is a fun time for hanging out, laughing, big breakfasts, lots of coffee, late nights, and memories. Enjoy the pictures :)
If the noodle sticks to the wall,
it's ready to be drained.
Tip learned :)
Noodle Girls!!
Wednesday night tradition!
Italian night complete with Eggplant Parm!
This year we had 21 for lunch.
I feel like the Duggars ha!!
Music. Hanging Out. Talking. Singing.
We kinda started a tradition in 2003 when we moved here! That we would shoot guns after we ate lunch and before we ate pie. Can you tell we live in the Ozarks? :) We live on 5 acres of wooded property. Every year since then we go out back, and shoot milk-jugs, cans, etc.
~Monday night, Aaron brought down a group of kids from Evangel. We had a blast! too fun! games, stories, youtube videos, laughing, and a big dinner!
~This week, the weather has been miserable! Upper 30's was the high on Tuesday/Wednesday. We finally got some pretty weather the past 3 days! 70's and sunny. More like how fall should be :)
~We had a Cold Stone crew meeting yesterday morning. I made $10 for answering Cold Stone trivia questions :) score!!
~I lost my wallet Friday night. Loooong story short, I found it Saturday afternoon, after I had canceled my cards, and check Target, Starbucks, and the parking lots for it. I will be writing about that tomorrow! Cool Story.
~I've had 3 Starbucks coffee's this week. Good therapy right? :)
~I worked at the Ziplines yesterday night. About 8pm, I got to ride with a tour for the last 5 lines. It was dark, windy, and a BLAST!!! Seriously love the people I work with. It would be safe to say they are like big brothers!
~I've sold over $100 worth of stuff on Ebay this week! I'm cleaning out my closest and making money! Win Win!!
~Because I sold so much, I treated myself to a little shopping spree yesterday :)
~Today, I'm working on cleaning and washing my car! Much needed!
I'm off to enjoy this beautiful weather with my family!
This past weekend Evangel had their Homecoming! It is our family tradition to go to Springfield every year for the friday night festivities, and then the big game on Saturday. Friday night, my dad took me on a private "campus tour" of the Admin buildings and the Business department. EU is his Alma Mater, and he graduated with a Business degree. It would be safe to say that he LOVES EU!! This year, my brother was on the Homecoming Court. He was so handsome :) He escorted Randal, an Evangel RA. It was gorgeous weather outside! Perfect football weather, and EU won the game :) I'll let the pictures do the talking!
~ I'm SO excited that Jenn is almost done my blog design! I got a little sneak peak and i LOVE it! She does amazing work!
~ Yesterday Evangel had their homecoming. Actually it's been going on for the past 3 days. I went up with my Dad on Friday night. He gave me an excluesive tour of the Buisiness Department, and the new Academic Buildings. It is a gorgeous campus! I went to Gab-Fest with him and met alot of his alumni friends, and ate way too much good food :)
~Speaking of Evangel, my brother was on the homecoming court! He looked so handsome! I'll be doing an entire post on that this week! Evangel played a great football game. The Final Score was 23 to 17! GO EU!!
~College Football!! My Sooners beat Texas, or should i say CREAMED Texas! Great game! Boomer!!

~I'm considering deactivating facebook for a little while! I'm addicted to it and spend way to much time on it. still throwing around the idea! I will miss it ;)
~ Our new youth pastors are doing great! I've said this before, but I really do love them! Our youth attendance is now 70-80+ on wednesday nights. Woo-hoo!! We broke off into 5 different teams. I'm on the Student Serve Team. We brainstormed tonight and got to know everybody!
~Today at church, we had a reception for Mark and Erin to welcome them! They had the best chocolate chip cookies. I ate w-a-y- t-o-o- many ;)
On a sad note, Steve Jobs, founder of Apple INC, passed away yesterday :( Such an incredible man!
On happier thought,
This weekend will be very busy for our family. Evangel is having their homecoming festivities the next 4 days!
