If you really knew me....

If you really knew me you would know that.....

I LOVE rain, but I hate thunder and I still plug my ears

I'm a hugger and I give big, long, bear hugs to people all the time

I'm not athletic at all, but I love going to games and I especially LOVE The Olympics.

I'm a huge shoe hoarder. Shoes complete the outfit and I have a small problem with closet space

maybe this is why I have so many.....

My favorite foods are black olives and mashed potatoes. You may even catch me eating them together. Don't hate

I try to be funny and witty, but I fail miserably.

I adore Nike Shorts and wish it was appropriate to wear them at work or 24/7 for that matter.

I have incredibly thick hair and it's supa hard to brush out. Merp!

I was homeschooled my entire life, and although it had its positives, I hated high school.

I snort when I laugh, and I honestly have no shame.

I'm extremely insecure and it takes me a while to trust people and be real with them.

I love having my nails painted, but my toes and fingers never match.

FAV color!

I love being on time. I hate being late. I'm try to be at least 10 minute early especially to work.

I have tons of blog posts that are drafted, and I really need to finish them.

I love all my bloggy friends, even thought I don't always comment on your posts.

Happy Monday!

oxox,

Emily

Sunday Social

1. What is your dream job?
I've never thought alot about my dream job, buuuut I've always thought running a super cute boutique like Riffraff or Blue Door Boutique, would be so much fun! I mean adorable clothes, cute co-workers, and dressing up everyday!!
2. If you had just won the lottery and didn't need to work for money, what would you do with your time?
First thing: Girl's Day!! Shopping, shopping, shopping!!! Mani/Pedi's, lunch somewhere fancy....new car, a trip to Paris..... I have no clue!
3. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a Nurse. I mean I really wanted to be a nurse. I always thought that delivering babies would be a fab job. Umm, I dissected in Biology and puked. So there's that. :p
4. What piece career advice would you give to someone just starting out in your field?
Live fully where you are...hahahah! I'm headed to college. I have nada clue on career advice. But I'll gladly accept yours! 5. Biggest Pet Peeves either in life or in blogging or at work
S-L-O-W drivers especially in the left lane! MOVE---->
Hair in the shower/public pools grosses me out! Sick nasty!!
6. Biggest Fears
I hate when people lose my trust. Which usually means they repeat things that I said in confidence. That happened this week and honestly, I'm hurt.
Getting kidnapped in a white rape van ranks right up there too!

Make sure to link-up with Neely and Ashley!

Happy Sunday

Brain Dump

It needed to happen. I'm on overload you know.

This week is slow compared to last week. You see I'm only working 55 hours instead of 70. I feel like I'm working part time. Naturally this means 1 more hour of sleep a night and a little more time to blog.

~Sunday Funday Lakeday: see also: i promise i have on a swim suit. you just can't see it.

~Last night, Hannah, my little sister, colored my hair. My hurrs are all black again. She did such a good job. I love them. My roots were my natural color (light brown), my sides/top were auburn from girls' night in May, and my ends were darkish brown. Hot mess right here.

~My mom made Peach
It was also the first time in almost a month that my entire fam was together. Mission trips, camp, vacations, and work. It was so good.

~I hit 200 blog followers which means I have a giveaway planned!!

~Please go check out the Pen Friend Project

~Keep praying for my friend Jared and his family in Botswana. He has wifi, so he messages me every morning (night their time) and catches me up.

~College is in one month! I'm so excited and nervous and not ready at all. PS. I'm looking for a grey twin comforter with some yellow/teal. Let me know if y'all see anything like that!

~I got my unibrow eyebrows waxed yesterday. It's the little things I'm telling you. Funny thing? My little lady that does them, Yen, said *gasp* "oh my. You must be working alot. You haven't been here in a while". Yes I work alot. Wax the unibrow.

~This song. Don't hate on Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen. I know I'm not in Jr. High anymore, don't judge.

~I'm headed off to work. My big brother is my MOD tonight and I love this. Most people have asked me if I hate having him be my boss, but I honestly love it. We have so much fun doing work together. And yes that is possible.

Happy Tuesday!

Liebster Award

The Liebster award is given to upcoming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. The meaning: Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing and welcome."-  Adrian (Adrian Love Owls)

Today was a complete waste of makeup

Have you ever had one of those days?

You know what I'm talking about. Where everything seems to go wrong at once. Don't mind me while I recap today

Today, started out lovely. Peaceful house, solo breakfast and a nice chat with my mom before work.

Then it all went wrong. We got in a fight and it ended it yelling and tears. I know things like this happen, but still not something I love.

I quickly grabbed my stuff for work and showed up to work au natural with on make-up on a raccoon eyes. Score 1 for Emily

In my race to leave the house, I forgot...tampons. Oh and I didn't take my midol, so cramps came fast a furious an hour later. To my male readers: cramps are no joke.

What's worse than it being that time of the month? Forgetting the essentials. You can imagine what happened when I figured this out a few hours later. It wasn't pretty

On top of that, I had a slightly awkward conversation with the owner. Sometimes I hate having two jobs because of scheduling conflicts. So there's that.

Oh and I'm working a double today. I'm looking forward to half price appetizers at Applebees with some friends tonight.

The best part of today? This here E-card and my shift leader doing an emergency walmart run for me.

One more thing. Show up to Job #2 tonight and they are filming a commercial. My face has no more makeup on and my hair is in a pony tail and I smell like spoiled milk from Cold Stone.

I'm winning at life today!

Keeping it real,

Emily

You can sleep when your dead

Sleep: I have a love-hate relationship with sleep. I do love to sleep in, but usually staying up late having fun trumps any reasonable amount of sleep. College prep maybe?

At the beginning of the summer, I saw this picture. I decided I wanted it to be the "theme to my last summer at home, summer '12"

This picture is so true. This summer I've had so much more fun than last summer, because I'm putting sleep as second priority. For those of you that really know me, this is a big deal.

It has been completely worth it.

I started making a list of what I've done so far this summer after say, midnight.

*Working doubles (not sure this counts as fun, but going to bed at 2 or 3....)

*Midnight swimming

*Watching movie after movie with girlfriends and laughing uncontrollably.

*Cooking in the kitchen at ungodly times of the night

*See also: late night snacking and baking

*Late night blogging and blog reading

*Laughing and catching up with my little sister at 2am, after I get off a late night shift at work.

*Dance parties with my little brother on our way home from work. Sleep deprived dance parties are better anyway.

I can't wait to keep adding to my list. It's hard to believe that college is in 5 weeks. It's coming up quick!

What late night fun have you done this summer?

oxox,

Emily

Ps: huge giveaway over at Pink on the Cheek  :)
